The Orientation Programme for fresh UTME and Direct Entry students of the 2021/2022 Academic Session of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been scheduled to commence on Monday, January 10, 2022 and conclude on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
The Orientation Programme is one of the traditional activities put in place to mark the beginning of each academic session at the University of Lagos. It is designed to acquaint fresh students with the university policies and practices, give necessary information about life and work at the university, the personnel, places, as well as the rules and regulations, which guide their stay both in the faculties and halls of residence.
The programme features selected lectures on relevant topics. Freshers will also meet Principal Officers, Deans of Faculties, Directors and Heads of Departments. The programme will run in two sessions concurrently.
To facilitate this, all freshers have been grouped into two as follows:

While one group attends orientation lectures, the second group will be on campus tour and vice versa. The take-off point for the campus tour is the frontage of J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium.

DAY 2 – Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall and University Main Library – Interactive Session & Tour of the University Main Library
Day 3 – Wednesday, January 12, 2022 – Interactive session at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall
Day 4 – Thursday, January 13, 2022 – Entertainment (Talent Hunt/Dance competition/Singing competition etc…) – Mr and Miss JAMBITE @ J. F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium

- Special Jumat Service for Muslim freshers at the University of Lagos Mosque at 1.00 p.m.
Day 6 – Sunday, January 16, 2022 –Special Worship Service for Christian freshers at the University of Lagos Chapel (Chapel of Christ Our Light)
The Vice-Chancellor has declared Monday, 10th January to Sunday 16th January, 2022 lecture free week for fresh students ONLY, to enable them attend and participate in the Orientation Programme. It is mandatory for all freshers, attendance will be taken.
